Recovery Room Nurses (RN)

Location/FTE:

Casual, part-time and full-time positions are currently available at all SCI centres.

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive care to patients emerging from anaesthesia. The individual will demonstrate competence in delivering safe, competent, and ethical care as a cooperative team member

Qualifications:

  • Current registration with appropriate provincial nursing regulatory body
  • Graduate from an approved School of Nursing, baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred
  • Current BCLS certification required
  • PARR course/ACLS and PALS certification an asset
  • Minimum two years current PARR/ICU experience required (current refers to experience in the last three years)
  • Complies with patient safety standards
  • Proven excellent team member with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Operating Room Nurses (RN)

Location/FTE:

Job Summary:

Responsible for providing perioperative patient care, the individual will demonstrate competence in delivering safe, competent, and ethical care in both a scrub and circulating role in an integrated team.

Qualifications:

  • Current registration with appropriate provincial regulatory body
  • Graduate from an approved School of Nursing, baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred
  • Must have current operating room experience or have successfully completed a perioperative course (within the past year)
  • Current BCLS certification required
  • ACLS certification an asset
  • Current scrub and circulating skills
  • Complies with patient safety standards
  • Proven excellent team member with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Operating Room Technicians (ORT)

Job Summary :

Responsible for providing perioperative patient care. Within scope of responsibility, the individual will deliver safe, and ethical care in a scrub role in an integrated team.

Qualifications:

  • Current registration with appropriate provincial regulatory body
  • Must have a post graduate operating room course from approved college
  • Minimum 2 year current O.R. experience preferred
  • Current BCLS certification required
  • Complies with patient safety standards
  • Proven excellent team member with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
